Jefferson High School Jr. Meghan Craig speaks out about the LHF Student Leadership Team

As the Lake Hopatcong Foundation (LHF) Student Leadership Team starts their second year, Hopatcong Lake Regional News had the opportunity to meet with founder and leader Meghan Craig of the Morris County Environmental Science Academy at Jefferson Township High School. (Watch the full interview)

2020 Student Leadership Movie          Watch the full InterviewDuring the interview, Meghan clearly outlined that she started this initiative for Lake Hopatcong to help create leadership opportunities for teenagers around the lake. “This group helps shape the voices for the future.” Stated Meghan.

Meghan credits the LHF and President Jess Murphy for the much-needed assistance during the start-up phase for the team, as they really helped with the communications and getting the word out there.

After the first year, during which the team defined the mission to help around the lake with Trails and other areas of the Environment. Meghan is now targeting even bigger initiatives for the second year 2020, starting with Earth Day, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
