The students in Mrs. Pagano’s first grade class have been learning about the life and message of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. They have read stories about it, watched videos, and discussed his “I have a Dream” speech.

The students worked together to brainstorm what their dreams are. Answers ranged from dreaming that everyone has peace, all kids have food to eat, for all people to be kind, all kids be safe, that all kids can go to school in person and that nobody has COVID-19.

Then, the students wrote their answers on a speech bubble, and their parents took a picture of them holding it above their head. Mrs. Pagano wants to thank the parents for all the assistance they are giving their students to help them be successful especially when we are virtual.
