Good landscape design doesn't necessarily mean lots of maintenance or that you need to be a Master Gardener. Planning and thoughtful choices can easily create a pleasant look without lots of work. She will show you examples of plantings, hardscapes, and outdoor decor.
Pruning can often make or break the look of plantings -Elizabeth will give you some great tips. She will also explore a little more about how to best assess your outdoor spaces to jazz them up for summer enjoyment.
About the Presenter: Elizabeth Johnston has been a professional Landscape Designer for 30 years. She is a graduate of CCM landscape design, Rutgers Landscape Design (only female in her class of 75 guys), and also attended an intensive course of design study in the UK with Penelope Hobhouse. Her passion for design also led her to acquiring her certificate for Interior Design 2 years ago. She is a certified color specialist which helps her guide clients with color choices that work indoors as well as in the landscape. You will often find her wandering through public gardens on Garden Conservancy tours and/or garden centers to widen her knowledge of design and planting combinations as well as new plants that are available. Travel is a huge passion for her and she has visited numerous botanical gardens in other countries.
