Please join us for a free Boating Safety Refresher presented by Larry Orlans, Operations Officer and Frank Federico, Public Education Officer of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 15-10 in Lake Hopatcong.
The presentation will be held on Wednesday, June 5 at 7pm at the Lake Hopatcong Foundation Environmental and Cultural Center, 125 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. Subjects covered will be general boating safety information, boating regulations specific for Lake Hopatcong, and a review the “Lake Hopatcong For All” courtesy boating guidelines.
This presentation is free and open to the public, but cannot be used to obtain a New Jersey Boating Safety Certificate. Boaters of all ages including anyone who will be getting their boat license soon are encouraged to attend.
Last spring, the Lake Hopatcong Foundation conducted several weeks of focus groups and surveys and one of the top concerns was boating safety. In response to this feedback, the Coast Guard Auxiliary is donating their time to provide this free presentation.
By working together to maintain a safe and healthy lake where each user respects the rights of others, we can avoid the need for more regulations and can equally enjoy Lake Hopatcong.
Please register below by June 4.
