On Saturday, May 12th, the Lake Hopatcong Foundation launched their fifth annual Block Party. While the skies were somewhat cloudy, the community spirit was bright and sunny.

The day started off with the official Launch of both the Passport Adventure that had attendees travel to different booths to gain a stamp that would qualify them to win great prizes. This was followed up by the Kids Scavenger Hunt that provided a great event for the younger members of the community.

During this event, you also had the ability to speak to the Mayors, Council Members and Officials from each of the four lake Communities (Hopatcong, Jefferson, Mount Arlington and Roxbury.) Throughout the event their booths were crowded, with local community members that had questions, or just wanted more information in the community in which they live.

Miss LottaMiss Lotta, was present at the event providing free boat rides to help the community better understand the lake environment, as seen from the lake looking towards the shores. This is an exceptional trip for anyone who has not taken the lake cruise.
