The Model Railroad Exhibit at the Lake Hopatcong Foundation was a popular destination during its first weekend on exhibit, drawing over 200 people. If you missed the first weekend, you have another chance on December 21 – 22 from 11 am – 4 pm.
High Point N-Trak, representing The Sussex County Railroad Club, will be presenting a model railroad exhibit in December at the Lake Hopatcong Foundation Environmental & Cultural Center, 125 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.
High Point N-Trak is an N scale modular group, which is a part of The Sussex County Railroad Club. They serve Sussex and Warren Counties in NJ as well as Pike County, PA and Orange County, NY. The Sussex County Railroad Club meets monthly and is open to railroad enthusiasts, both prototypical and model.
Different than other groups in the area, they encourage members and visitors to bring in sections of their work to meetings to gain help from the other members.
The exhibit will be open to the public on the second weekend December 21 – 22 from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
The Lake Hopatcong Foundation Environmental & Cultural Center has its home in the iconic Lake Hopatcong Station. The station was built in 1911 and served as a transportation hub for the Lake Hopatcong area until the 1950s. The Lake Hopatcong Foundation purchased the building in 2014, embarking in a multiyear rehabilitation project on the historic structure.
