Free Family Astronomy Field Day
Join us for our 4th annual free Astronomy Field Day on Saturday, August 24 from 3:00 PM to midnight!
Pack your picnic basket, grab a blanket, and bring the whole family to New Jersey's premier site for public astronomy - the UACNJ observatories and lecture hall in Jenny Jump State Forest, Hope, NJ. There will be numerous events throughout the day, including presentations on the Solar System, the space program, and how to use binoculars & telescopes for stargazing. We will also have solar telescopes set up to safely view the Sun. This will be followed by observing with our telescopes after dark (weather permitting).

5:45PM to 6:45PM Picnic Break
6:45PM Lecture: Binocular Astronomy with Sean Post
8:00PM Lecture: You Bought a Telescope, Now What? with Paul Fischer
9:00PM to 12:00AM Stargazing

Teeter's Telescopes, West Morris Amateur Radio Club, North East Branch Warren County Library, Al Witzgall Meteor Display, Pearl Observatory, and local Astronomy Clubs
