Sunday June 23, 2019, the Knee Deep Club and Ramsey Outdoor will hold its annual Stew Lant Challenge Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass fishing contest.

The Roxbury Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the 7th Annual Roxbury Town-wide Garage Sale Event to be held on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, 2019--rain or shine.

The Township’s Mayor and Council have once again agreed to waive the required yard-sale permit and fee for the weekend; in an effort to help the Chamber attract as many shoppers and encourage as many garage sales within the Township as possible on June 22 and 23.

Annual Civil War Reenactment of the Battle of Monmouth

Monmouth Battlefield State Park

Each year the Friends of Monmouth Battlefield co-sponsors, with the DEP, State of New Jersey, an annual reenactment of the battle. The event is usually held on a weekend towards the end of June, in commemoration of the anniversary of the battle being fought on June 28, 1778. Hundreds of troops encamp at the park and recreate scenarios of the battle over the weekend.

Jefferson Township Farmers Market

Fireman's Field

The Jefferson Township Farmers Market has a new home: Firemen’s Field. The field is located at 750 Route 15 South, behind Bank of America at the intersection with Bowling Green Parkway. The new space will allow more room for vendors and better accommodate traffic flow. Customers will have ample parking onsite and at the Lakeside Recreation Complex directly across the road (15 Swan Lane).

It will be open every Sunday from 10:00-2:00 through October, rain or shine, offering an array of seasonal fruits and vegetables, jams, jellies, eggs, all natural and organic soap, lotions, and more.

Come join our first ever “Eagle Sightseeing Excursion” with Bob Behrent, a local that has lived around the lake for many years now. Bob spends his free time taking photographs of the eagles that live in a tree on Lake Hopatcong. He has witnessed their hatching and is also extremely knowledgeable about the lifestyles of eagles. There is going to be a raffle for (2) canvas prints of the local eagles!

June Outdoor Concert Series - Katie Henry

Katie Henry, from Sussex County, composes her songs on both piano and guitar. Bass player Antar Goodwin, meanwhile, co-wrote with Katie many of the songs on her new CD. B-3 organist John Ginty, who can be heard on the CD and occasionally live with Katie, produced the album. Katie often plays favorite classic blues and rock covers from artists "who have influenced me over the years."
