Henry “The Piano Man” Shapiro who began his piano career at 13 years old playing in the Woodport section of Lake Hopatcong will be celebrating his 97th Birthday this September.
Be part of a magical evening at Upstream Grille reminiscent of a Sunday Supper Club of a ByGone era to help us celebrate Mr. Shapiro’s Birthday and nearly 84 years of playing the piano.

Rerestoration of the historical Lake Hopatcong train station in Landing remains on track, a beefsteak dinner, with a rich history of its own, will be held to support the project.
The dinner, hosted by the Lake Hopatcong Foundation, is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 4, 6 to 9 p.m., at St. Jude Parish Hall, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong. In addition to the dinner, the event will feature a short presentation on the history and restoration of train station, a basket raffle and a 50/50.
